Hi
I am trying to configure Arm Linux on Assabet. I have downladed the
latest kernal source for assabet from your site.
i.e. linux-2.4.0-test8.tar.gz and applied
patch-2.4.0-test8-rmk2.gz and
diff-2.4.0-test8-rmk2-np1.gz.
Instructed me to run 'make oldconfig' when I tried 'make
assabet_config'. Booted through angelboot utility.
I have used ramdisk_pcmcia.gz. I have renamed modules for my
kernel version. I have replaced the pcnet_cs module and I ran 'make
modules'. After making necessary changes in /etc/pcmcia/network.opts, I
booted the assabet.
I ran './network start eth0'
The messages I got are:
"./network: /etc/pcmcia/wireless : No such file or directory.
SIOCADDRT: File exists"
The eth0 interface had been setup and lo (local interface) was not
setup properly.
I was not able to ping the localhost itself.
Later I ran 'ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1'
Then it started pinging the localhost with the following warning.
"Warning: unknown ICMP packet received (not echo-reply)"

What might be the problem? Please help me out.

Thanking you

Chandru
