It's a popular misconception that X is big. X is not big. Jim Gettys
used to develop X on a 4MB DEC VAX with consideraly less power than
your Assabet. The Compaq iPaq also runs X, and it has almost the same
specs (SA1110, 16MB flash, 32MB RAM).

Depends on what you want to do. A window manager is the most important
thing you need, and some kind of terminal would be nice. Check out
www.handhelds.org for ideas and applications.

Depends on the compression algorithm and the video size. We can do 15
frames/second for a CIF (360x288) H.263 encoded movie on the LART
(SA1100@220MHz, 32MB RAM, Xfb server, Telenor H.263 decoder).
