You aloways need the rmk patch on top of the main kernel source. Kernel
2.4.4 is quite old, so try linux-2.4.9-ac9-rmk2:

  ftp://ftp.arm.linux.org.uk/pub/armlinux/source/kernel-patches/v2.4/

You also need patch-2.4.9-ac9 from:

  ftp://ftp.##.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/alan/linux-2.4/2.4.9

And the linux-2.4.9 tree.
