while we're on the topic, some mailer clients on this list send
out some info that always cause my (grumble grumble) microsoft
outlook mailer here at work to attempt to download new character
sets and fonts all the time. Just plain ASCII text is best.

i haven't found any documentation on what the "A" is for. What
does it mean?
