Hello, > I have the same problem. My assabet was actually > running angelboot. Then when I wanted to Jflash > it with blob, it say block erase times out. It has been guessed in this mailing list before that the block which should be "block erased" has the write protection bit set. JFlash checks whether this is the case before trying to perform a block erase. Unfortunately, it checks both flash devices at once. So if one of them has a write protection and the other doesn't, JFlash tries to continune (and fails).
How to clear the write protection by manipulating the JFlash source (a tiny bit) can be found here: http://www.handhelds.org/pipermail/handhelds/2001-February/001552.html > Using the same cable and PC, I was able to > download(Jflash) the blob to another assabet > board. I think the problem occured after I reprogrammed the CoolRunner CPDL via JTAG. Should not happen. > Then I have another Assabet board, this board is > worst, it can't even read the flash attribute.
