It has been guessed in this mailing list before that the block which should
be "block erased" has the write protection bit set. JFlash checks whether
this is the case before trying to perform a block erase. Unfortunately, it
checks both flash devices at once. So if one of them has a write protection
and the other doesn't, JFlash tries to continune (and fails).

How to clear the write protection by manipulating the JFlash source (a tiny

I think the problem occured after I reprogrammed the CoolRunner CPDL via
JTAG. Should not happen.
