I was wondering if anyone could explain to me how to properly communicate with a UDA1341TS CODEC via Serial Port 4 on an SA-1110 board, mainly how to set up the uart and how to properly select which data format I need to set the CODEC to. I have the UDA1341 being properly (to the best of my knowledge) set up for operation, and I can see the data going in over the serial port on my scope, but I get no output from the chip. The only indication that I have that anything is happening is a small amount of barely audible noise (a buzz) on the speaker when the chip is turned on to play sound.
