SA1100 costs

I'm looking to put together a unit capable of decoding MP3's.  I know the
SA1100 is capable because I've been following the epmpeg player
(www.empeg.com) closely and know they use an SA1100/Linux combination
Are there any lesser ARM processors that hold enough horsepower  to decode
MP3?  

Also, does anyone have a cost breakdown on pricing on the various ARM
processors capable of running Linux for small to medium quantities?
