I am currently running RedHat Linux 6.0 on a Pentium system. I have successfully installed binutils and gcc as a cross compiler. However when I attempt to 'make' the libraries glibc I keep getting the error message 'Too many open files' So far I have attempted to increase files-max and inode-max but still no joy.
