That's likely to be the least of your problems. Actually, I think the current
glibc version is probably OK, though again I haven't tested it.

If you'd like to have it included in libc, you can send it to me in the first
instance. But you will have to fill in a copyright assignment if you don't
already have one on file at the FSF.
