No, it isn't. There's something wrong for your install. I tested it with Virtual Keyboard playing Calf Organ by JACK MIDI. I used the mouse and the "qwerty" keyboard and both were ok. The notes were hold and not triggered again and again. It deosn't matter if I played single notes or two notes in unison.
