I am happy, that most decent audio software does not depend on either the gnome or the kde desktop, but just on gtk or qt or the toolkit the creator favours. And I would like that to stay this way, because I don't see how users of audio software profit from the desktop environments in a way, that would excuse having to install kde or gnome.
