Check at the end of the XF86Config files (usually
resides on /etc/X11) there are the screen sections
where the resolution of the X server is defined.
so, you`ll need somthing like:
Section "screen"
        Driver "svga" #your x-server
        Device "Generic VGA"
        Monitor "Generic Multisync"
        SubSection "Display"
                Depth  16
                Viewport  0 0
                Virtual   320 200
        EndSubsection
EndSection
