Help Slackware 2.0.34

Hi
After I compiled and installed new kernel, cannot mount dos partitions
and cdrom. It reports kernel does not support msdos. in the make config
I didn't see any question about dos support. also, msdos and iso9660 is
not in the /proc/filesystems. Please someone help me what to so.
