I'm lazy. I know the solution to this, but was hoping that someone else
might know. The stock rpms, .debs - whatever, you get on CD are all
*compiled* to not let you change the From: header.

There are two ways around this, no three actually:

1. The first - suboptimal, and easiest solution is to change the Reply-To:
section, under SETUP, CONFIG when you fire up pine. You do this by
changing the 'customized headers' option to have

        Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

in it. So Jim you *can* have it!

2. Harder, but still not too hard - get the source for pine, edit the
Makefile to allow the customized headers to accept

        From: Gerard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

(which it doesn't do normally). Its just a matter of changing a flag.

3. Hardest, crunge sendmail configs to make it look like all mail from a
user - you - to be sent from

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Can't say that I know how to *do* this, but I can assure you it can be
done.
