I just started using a 56k (x2) modem to dialup my linux machine to the
internet. Is there any way to tell what speed my machine in connecting
at? Also I have a feeling that it is connecting only at 33.6bps. Is
there a setting I need to change in order to get it to connect at a higher
baud rate? If it makes a difference it is a external serial connection.
