Yes, they are ne2k clones, which were very popular and dirt cheap at one time.
Poor performance, but better than plip or nullmodem.
You should have one box configured with diald be the gateway to the other
boxes, then any of the boxes can get internet access. The ethernet would
be on a private network, and the gateway does ipmasquerading for the
other machines.

Hey, it's plug and play. Well, you might have to compile the ne2k module,
ifconfig and route. And you don't have to reboot like some other
inferior OSes that want to you reboot everytime you touch the keyboard.
