A cdrw disk isn't anything like a hard drive. There is no partition table
or anything. Actually it is identical to a cdr disk except for the fact
that the data can be erased. So you can't format it, partition it, mount
it and write it or anything like that. There is a program for winblows
made by adaptec that lets you treat a cdrw disk like a partition, but it
doesn't work very well. The latest version of cdrecord supports cdrw
disks. You basically treat it like a cdr disk and write a cd, but later,
you can erase the disk and start over.
