Hello,

I have a Linux server (Red Hat 5.2) running on a DELL-POWEREDGE 2300.
Now i have bought a new DAT drive (5.25" SEAGATE model STD224000N
12/24GB)- too expensive for low-budget company. The accompanying
booklet and a installation documentation covers for only DIGITAL UNIX,
Solaris, IRIX but there is no documentation for Linux (Red Hat).

Can anyone point me how can i install this DAT-drive in my system and
how can i configure Backup-processes. I am wondering whether i can add
this H/W without recompiling Kernel. Or if needed, i am ready to re-install
the whole Linux and start from scratch.

Any help is appreciated.

TIA,
Manohar
