can't logout

I'm having a very weird problem. It seems that for some random reason, I
now cannot log out of my Linux account. I'm running RedHat 6.0 and
Gnome/Enlightenment and if I go to the Gome menu and choose "Logout"
nothing happens. I haven't changed a thing. Any ideas? I feel like a tool.
