Howdy,

I spent the whole day trying to get my PCI128 (soundblaster) card to work.
I even called the RedHat techsupport to no avail. Here's what I've tried so
far:

1) Ran sndconfig, which automatically selects es1371 and adds the entry in
conf.modules. Sndconfig hangs when it trys to play a sample sound.

2) Recompiled the kernel (2.2.5-22) with the es1371 support.

In either tries I get the following in dmesg:

es1371: version v0.10 time 09:18:27 Jun 2 1999
es1371: found adapter at io 0xa400 irq 11
es1371: features: joystick 0x0
es1371: codec vendor revision 0
es1371: codec features none
es1371: stereo enhancement: no 3D stereo enhancement

So linux definitely recognizes the card, but I also get the following
errors:

es1371: dma timed out??
es1371: dma timed out??

The card just does not work. Any ideas? I'm running RH6.0, Pentium III.
Thanks in advance,

-Simon
