In the first place it is not "linux" that has this problem. It is xfree86. The
SiS chipsets are pretty lame anyway the bst thing would be to get a matrox card
or even one of the new voodoo cards or Vipers. I think though that your problem
is based on which monitor you choose in Xconfigurator. Make ure that if you are
choosing a specific model that it is EXACTLY your model.. otherwise try to use
a custom setup for your monitor.
