Hi I am using rp-pppoe 1.7 on RH6.2 and PMfirewall on a non XWindows PC which only serves as a router. I have configured rc.local to autoconnect my ADSL connection at boot time which works perfectly. PMFirewall works also very well by chaining an internet connection to my Win98 box. When my PPP connections dies for any reasons, I can run "adsl-start" but the connection does not work. I can't ping any internet site ............ nor chaining my connection to my Win98 box. My only current solution is rebooting my machine over again. Since this is an old machine (old bios) , the only way to reboot is by manually pushing the reset or on/off button ........... really anoying ..........!! If someone has an idea on how automate the reconnect process efficiently without rebooting, i'd appreciate a lot . Or better, someone with the knowledge about all the steps requried to restarting a pppoe connection would be great ! Thanks Oksigen - deep breath [EMAIL PROTECTED]
