Hi

I am setting up a new server for DNS, and I think I have the files
configured OK. To test it I have set up a client machine to get DNS info
from the new server then performed nslookups on that client machine.
That works fine.

However, something is bothering me, indicating that the setup is not
quite correct.

This is because I get the following reply when, on the server, I query:

/etc/rc.d/init.d/named status

number of zones allocated: 64
debug level: 0
xfers running: 0
xfers deferred: 0
soa queries in progress: 0
query logging is OFF
server is DONE priming
server IS NOT loading its configuration

The last line "server IS NOT loading its configuration" - what does this
refer to? Obviously named is accessing the files in /var/named/bind as
otherwise nslookups from a client would not work. Is there something
wrong still?

I am running bind-8.2.2_P5-9 and caching-nameserver-6.2-2 on a
Redhat.6.2 machine

Any information or help will be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hugo
