Hi

We recently installed a new NIS server, and since we have done this, NIS
mail aliases no longer work. There is an aliases file in the nis
directory on the new nis server of course. The old NIS server was set up
with the same DNS alias (nis.cs.uwa.edu.au) as the one used for the new
NIS server so that the mail host should have no problems finding the new
NIS server.

The only difference is that the version of ypserv is more recent on the
new NIS server. I am using ypserv-1.3.9-3 on a redhat 6.2 machine, and
the mail server is a redhat 6.0 machine using sendmail-8.9.3-10

On my mail server, in my /etc/sendmail.cf file I have the following line
to find NIS mail aliases:

O AliasFile=nis:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

with the NIS domain being dept.cs.uwa.edu.au this should work. But
although mail addressed to a user get through, mail addressed to an
alias doesn't. What is going wrong here? Anyone able to help out?

Any help will be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hugo
