Hi Nishi,

I've specifically asked for a soft copy of the rules and memoranda of
the society to send to people who are out of the country, e.g. you.
However, if your residence is Delhi you will not get soft copies (to
minimise e-mail discussion).

The seven people, like I said, will only be office bearers until the
first formal meeting of the society. At that stage, they will be
replaced by the elected members. Hence I see no problem with picking
7 people off the street and making them into office-bearers for the
duration of a month or so. Does this sound reasonable, or am I
missing something really big here?

After the first meeting the governing body will comprise only duly
elected members.

At the next Linux-Delhi meeting we will ask for nominations (yes,
people are free to nominate themselves if they like :-) These
nominations will be put up for vote at the meeting after that (in
June), which will hopefully be the first meeting of the formal
society.

CC'ing the list to ensure that there is no confusion.

Regards,

-- Raju
