Michael,
First tip, if you're not running any of the DNS hotfixes for DNS on NT, then
I suggest you install SP4. There are a large number of DNS fixes in there.
There is a BIND port for NT including 8.1.x.
As to your specific problem, we would have to see all the DNS configuration
files. You can post them here or directly to me if you don't want to bother
the group.
