RH 5.1 ships with pre-2.0.34 #6. It's very possible that the patch for that
bug was made after that. This would not be the only bug that this kernel has,
that people think they're safe from because their kernel version says
'2.0.34.6', and they don't realize that is older than 2.0.34. (Or do they
have the .6 tacked on? I've only booted RH 5.1 one time, and only briefly,
and I don't remember what uname -a returned...
Why do I know these things? I don't even use RH. (Though, admittedly, I do
like installing different distributions, so as to be able to compare them.)
