No Subject

I have setup diald on my system but I have come across a weird problem .
Daild connects ok but when I  try to ping anything nothing happens and the
connection drops out a minute later.
looking at my message log  it seems that the diald info is not being added
to the routing table because when I type "ifconfig ppp0"
0.0.0.0 is returned.
Can anyone help me  I have attached the last  100 lines of my message log
has anyone  seen this problem.
