Hi

I know this is not directly related to diald, but this is the only
list I am currently subscribing to, and I have seen a fair amount
of sendmail expertise here, so I decided to take a chance that someone
here might be able to point me in the right direction ...

I'm using sendmail 8.something on a Linux 2.0.12 box. I have
regular dialup PPP accounts for several users with a local ISP,
and a cron job transfers mail from my ISP's POP to my local POP at regular
intervals. I am using popclient to retrieve mail to my local mailer (linux).

Everything works fine (inlcuding diald :-), but I notice that whenever I
RECEIVE an e-mail message, I get the message plus a blank RECPT message along
with it, so instead of say 30 messages, my in box shows 60 messages.
Its the same for all users on my lan. The blank message is date stamped at the
time the messages were retrieved. For example, this is one such message (this
is the full extent - I have not trimmed out any headers):

X-POP3-Rcpt: acoetzee@joy

The message consists of about 3 blank lines.

Its a bit of a bother deleting the empty messages, but no real
problem otherwise.

Can anyone tell me how to stop generating the blanks? OR where to look for
more information?

You can mail me directly so as not to clutter the list with off-topic
subject matter.

Many thanks.
