Hi,

just a few questions, about setting diald on a 486, running linux rh 5.2.

1) If I choose diald demon to be automatically started, on every boot it
attempts a connection: does it depend on named.conf, where the ISP ip
address is set as a forwarder ?
Would it be possible to avoid it, without killing the demon ?

2) about the MODEM_INIT string in /etc/diald/connect.
Default is "ATZ&C1&D2%C0": I need to insert the ATX3 command, but
"ATX3&C1&D2%C0" fails to initialize the modem; which is the right string ?

Thanks
