I have just install a RedHat 5.2 box and put dialed on it to connect my
lan to my isp.
My isp is also running RedHat (unknown ver) which is auth to the dialin.
My hardware
Tyan Tomcat IV w 1 x p166
128 Meg Ram
3 gig WD IDE HD
external best data v.90 modem (note: dial in is 33.6 so it is running @
115200)
serial card has 16C550 uart
The system seems to work fine most of the time but downloads seem to
slow down and I checked ifconfig and it said
that the ppp0 device was getting a lot (500+ over 2 hours) errors and
dropped packets on the RX.
I am out of ideas as to what to tweek to get this to work. Please help.
