I got diald running on a machine without problems. Everything worked fine ! It's a rh5 based box, with kernel 2.0.35. I got the source, extracted, applied the 16.5 patch. Compiled and installed without problems. The only problem is that I can't get the keepalive option ( at /etc/diald/diald.conf ) to work ! It's just like the diald man page, but diald says "unknown option" at the keepalive line ! I read the manuals, and saw that I have to get the keepalive option at my kernel for it to work. I got it ! Well ... i think I got it ..... the only keepalive that I found on the kernel source, and it's compiled, it's the SLIP keepalive option. It's already on, but I can't get the keepalive option to run ! What can I do ?? Have anybody passed this problem too ?
