Redhat 6.0 and diald 0.99

As I newbie to this list, but not diald I have recently abandoned my 2.0x
kernel Slackware system in favour of RedHat 6.0 with 2.2 series kernel.

Are there any caveats  with the 2.2 series kernel that will prevent a
successful outcome that I should be aware of before I spend any real time
and effort on this?
