I've downloaded 'diald' source code (diald-0.99.1.tar.gz) from
http://diald.unix.ch/download
After unzip and untar, I commented out of lines 5 and 6 of the Makefile.
Running 'make' as an unprivileged user goes smoothly, except for the
following error messages.
....
timer.c: In function `validate_function':
timer.c:87: warning: comparison of distinct pointer types lacks a cast
timer.c:88: warning: comparison of distinct pointer types lacks a cast
....
utils.c: In function `cdate':
utils.c:11: warning: `%c' yields only last 2 digits of year in some locales
....
proxy_dev.c: In function `proxy_dev_init':
proxy_dev.c:146: warning: `d' might be used uninitialized in this function
....
Because of these error massages I'm not sure to 'make install' as root.
