Derek,
it is the standard rc.local with the following lines added between the
echo >> /etc/issue line and the fi.
my additions are :
cd /etc/diald
rm -f diald.ctl
diald
Did have some ipchains forward commands after that but took them out to try
to elimanate any problems. I have tried changing the diald to
/etc/rc.d/init.d/diald.init with the same results. I still end up with a
copy running that does not do anything useful. If I kill that process and
start another diald, then everything works great. Dctrl works fine and it
dials. If I put diald into the /etc/rc.d/rc.local then 7 out of 10 times one
process will start and the other just sits in the background and does
nothing. Sometimes the will both compete for the modem and neither one is
able to get a connection.
Any ideas?
