I'm not sure about RH, but Mandrake 6, which is based on Red Hat, has 
the masquerading code built in - however ipchains are not installed. 
Once I downloaded and installed ipchains I was all set with the 
kernel that shipped with Mandrake 6. Of course I still can't get 
diald to compile...:-0
