It sounds like this is a problem with "chat". Try adding the line
TIMEOUT 300
to the beginning of your chatscript. That will set a 5-minute
timeout for the script (300 seconds). If you _still_ get a "connect
script timed out" error, then you know the problem is somewhere else.
When you're done testing, set it to some reasonable value, like 60
or 120.
