I just thought that I should let people know that I've been working
on a dctrl application for the windowmaker dock. If you use window
maker and diald, you might be interested in it.
It still has some bugs, but as far as I know they won't bring down
your system, and they won't present any security holes. I've been
using it for a couple of months. It is configurable for 0.16 or 0.99.
Please download it, give it a look, and don't hesitate to send bug
reports/feature requests to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
It's features include a display of timeouts, size of packet queue,
an icon showing the current state, and a series of buttons that
allow one to bring up/take down/block the connection, or to launch
dctrl -- all of that in a 64x64 icon.
This might require some hacking to get it to work. Also feel
free to submit patches that make it easier to use/install.
The url should be http://www.csclub.uwaterloo.ca/~trwcolem/apps.html
Thanks
Tim Coleman
