I'm new to the diald mailing list, so this question may have already
been answered, but i've checked a lot of places and can't find out the
answer...anways... I'm having problems with diald and Outlook/Netscape
MAIL only... I have this diald box setup for 4 people on workstations
to use. They usually just start outlook to get their e-mail. When
outlook starts, it tries to connect to the mail server which causes
diald to dial out, but the problem is, that Outlook always gives the
erorr that it could not find the hostname of the mail address (but this
is on the first try only). Once the link is established, and e-mail is
"sent/recieved" again, it finds the host just fine and gets the e-mail.
I guess the problem lies where diald is dialing out and the mailclient
is expecting some sort of "reply" from the mail server. Any ideas on
how I can make this work the "first" time Outlook (or Netscape Mail)
starts recieving/sending mail...?
