** Reply to note from [EMAIL PROTECTED] on Mon, 16 Aug 1999 11:03:49 -0500 I had the same or similar problem when I switched to a new ISP -- pppd did not return the local IP assigned by the ISP, but instead defaulted to the IP address assigned to eth0. Problem solved by adding "noipdefault" to the /etc/ppp/options file.
