Thanks for the reply. No they don't exist on my network.
After some more digging it seems to be something on my ppp settings might be the problem. It seems that route isn't being set correctly by Diald.
Here's a comparison between Diald and wvdial.
 
First DIALD

As you can see the default (Destination 0.0.0.0) is not being set by Diald but is set by wvdial.
How can i fix this problem.

Second is this from my messages file. This occurs only when Diald is invoked. wvdial does not produce these messages.

I've checked thru the Configure.help file in /usr/src/linux and there is no module called 'tap*'. So what exactly is this message trying to tell me. There's nothing like this in my /etc/modules.conf file either. Any help would be appreciated.

These addresses (192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2): are they addresses of two
machines that really exist on your network???  If yes, that may be the
source of your problem.  Try putting addresses (in 192.168.0.x), but for
machines that do not exists (192.168.0.250, and 192.168.0.251 for example,
if no machines have these).

I have that, and it does not seems to be a problem.  If you look trough the
archive of the mailing list, almost everybody has that message, and nobody
ever complained about it!
