Is Netscape bringing up a dns query or is it trying to access a page

Netscape has a problem in that if you leave the identity as simply username
then it comes styraight up. But if you have username@somehost then netscape
takes a good while to load.

I think that the dns resolving part of netscape is part of the problem. Also
try to point the homepage at a local file or http server.
