I had a similiar problem: Moving the Marks did not change the image, so I had 
to guess wether they were at the right positions (kernel 2.6.0 and 2.6.1).

Since I updated from linuxtv-dvb-1.0.0 to linuxtv-dvb-1.1.0  and vdr-1.2.4 to 
vdr-1.3.3 it works again.
 

I just compiled kernel-1.1.0 from cvs with 2.6.1 but there is no change 
with cutting on vdr 1.3.2. The same 3-10 seconds freezes when i (jump to 
a || move a) mark.
