Hi!

I plan to buy a DVB-C card. I think I found a good one: DigitalRise DVB-C PCI
Cable CI (2033). On the manufacture's homepage, I found an open source linux
driver that seems to be related to the linux-dvb projekt, but contains an
additional driver for the mantis chip, that is built into that tv card. I
searched the linux kernel, the linux-dvb-1.1.1 release and the cvs source for
the mantis files, but I did not find them. so my question is, if the driver
from
http://www.digitalrise.biz/support/downloads/index.php?action=file&id=187
will ever be part of the vanilla kernel/dvb-source. additionally this driver
does not support the CI module but there is evidance in the sourcecode that
it may be supported. a mysterious "mantis_ca.h" will be included if
HAVE_MANTIS_CI is defined. the next question is, if the CI module will ever
be fully supported. :-)
and my last three questions are: does anyone use this card (or at least the
mantis chip)? how is the quality and compatibility with e.g. mplayer and this
card? I have read about H.264 support on this card on a shop's homepage, but
the manufacture's homepage does not mention H264 support. Does this card have
H.264 support?

thx for reading
Björn
