Greetings!
Anyone here have any experience using Linux with an Aaeon SBC
(specifically the PCM-5894)? They say it's "PC compatible", so it will
probably work fine, but I'm just checking in case someone out there has
had any particularly horrible experiences with it. If it's any help, they
use the SiS 5582 chipset and Award Flash BIOS.
Also - you'll have to excuse my lack of knowledge on this, but I've been
searching through Linux pages to see how many of the onboard peripherals
are supported. I know the 100Base-T Ethernet has a driver (RealTek
RTL8139 chip), the VGA is fine (C&T 65554), but I'm not sure on some of
the others. It's got the M-Systems DiskOnChip, and I know I've seen
something about a binary-only driver available; can someone clear this up
for me? In addition, what is Linux support like for PC/104 peripheral
devices (I know there won't be drivers for most PC/104 devices, but can
the kernel communicate with them so I could write my own drivers?)? What
is Linux support like for Flat Panel Displays (the board can drive both
CRT and FPD - I think both from the C&T 65554 controller)?
Thanks in advance
