Richard is spot on !
Anyone mucking around with DOC is poor design. The Sandisk is more elegant,
smaller ( thats physical dimensions not capacity .. compact flash by
sandisk ) and is easier to upgrade in the field. ( Ever plugged in that
expensive DOC chip and bent all the pins ?? ).
We do use an extensive network of embedded Linux boxes ( about 70 servers )
to control high value commercial telecommunications equipment ( using
sandisk ) on a nation wide WAN. So unless DOC get real and come to the
party by releasing driver source and better physical packaging then we might
consider it. ( though IMHO they have been beaten to the punch by Sandisk ).
Regards.
