I would like to use Linux in an embedded system instead of qnx.. But,
how robust is the system to shutdowns by turning off the power... I know
that fs writes are cached (I am no stranger to Linux on a desktop, been
running for 5 years) and a file system check is performed whenever a
power off shutdown is performed. So, in an embedded environment, how are
file writes forced and no caching at the kernel level...
