Perhaps the problem with ld.so maybe that it wants also a gcc
compiler targetted at libc5. With debian you can install the
libc5-altdev package, maybe that SuSE has something similar.
Another user reported me the problem with the python IDE (which
is _not_ necessary, though) and it seems related to a different
version of python installed on SuSE (which complains about
non-default arguments following default arguments). I'll investigate
this. If you could give a more detailed description of the problems
you are facing, this would be highly appreciated.
