Hello, I currently have a compact flash socket connected to a SA-1110 based system and can reliably access a SanDisk 64 MB card operating in True IDE mode. I am using the Linux OS - standard IDE driver. I would like to use an IBM 1Gb Microdrive in true IDE mode. The problem is that it does not appear to work in true IDE mode, even though the IBM tech manuals state that it should. The IBM drive works fine using PCMCIA card services in the 2nd CF slot, but I need to operate the drive from the 1st CF slot (in True IDE mode). The IBM microdrive itself works fine on my Linux laptop with the IBM supplied PCMCIA adapter. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions? David J. Croyle EE / Software Developer Foerster Instruments, Inc.
