Thanks for your reply. I modified the FAI_DEBOOTSTRAP variable to use the main official mirror (="woody http://ftp.debian.org/debian/";), and still see the same problem. The output of "sh -x make-fai-nfsroot -v" is available from: http://www.cdf.toronto.edu/~agenkin/tmp/fai/make-fai-nfsroot_out.new.txt I think that this is a debootstrap problem; if I simply run debootstrap --arch i386 woody /tmp/nfsroot http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ by itself (i.e. not by running make-fai-nfsroot), I see the same error... :( Any other ideas?
